Mandatory Training Policy

The Mandatory Training Policy (PDF 271KB) sets out the mandatory organisational requirements for the establishment and management of mandatory employee training across SA Health including identification, approval, delivery, and compliance.

Applicability

This policy applies to all employees and contracted staff of SA Health; that is all employees and contracted staff of the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW), Local Health Networks (LHNs) including state-wide services aligned to those Networks, and SA Ambulance Service (SAAS).

Out of Scope

This policy does not apply in relation to mandatory training:

  • required for professional accreditation purposes, or
  • implemented by DHW, LHNs or SAAS applicable only to specific roles or sites, or
  • for students on placement or work experience within SA Health.
