Management of Non-Work Related Medical Incapacity Policy

The Management of Non-Work Related Medical Incapacity Policy (PDF 307KB) set out the mandatory requirements in relation to supporting and managing employees with a non-work related (non-compensable) injury; illness; health condition; disability or incapacity impacting the performance of their duties.
Applicability
This policy applies to all employees of SA Health; that is all employees and contracted staff of the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW), Local Health Networks (LHNs) including state-wide services aligned with those Networks and SA Ambulance Service (SAAS).
If the individual is a non-employee, seek advice from the labour hire/contractor agency, or student/volunteer co-ordinator, as relevant.
