The Prescribed Interviewers for Investigative Interviewing of Vulnerable Witnesses Policy (PDF 295KB) outlines the mandatory legislative and training requirements for SA Health staff to become a prescribed interviewer, as per the Summary Offences Act 1953 and Summary Offences Regulations 2016 ensuring a consistent approach to certain vulnerable witnesses who undergo an investigative interview.
Applicability
This policy applies to all employees, students, volunteers, contractors, and all persons otherwise engaged to work at SA Health, that is the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW), Local Health Networks (LHNs) including state-wide services aligned with those Networks and SA Ambulance Service (SAAS).
