Diabetes services in regional South Australia
Our Regional Diabetes Services provide access to important treatment outside of metropolitan hospitals, helping regional and rural communities and people living in remote areas of our state receive the diabetes care they need, closer to home.
About diabetes services in regional South Australia
The Regional Diabetes Services are available to you, your carer and/or your family at your local hospital, community health service or residential aged care facility.
There are 24 diabetes service locations within the six regional local health networks. However, due to the geographical spread, services can be provided on site, via Healthdirect or via telephone link.
Some diabetes services sites are also equipped with Digital Telehealth Network facilities so clinical appointments with your diabetes medical specialists based in Adelaide, can take place without you needing to travel.
