Booleroo Centre District Hospital and Health Services provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by local general practitioners to outpatients and aged care beds.

Patients may commence their stay at Booleroo Centre District Hospital and Health Services but finish their care at one of the neighbouring hospitals with specialist medical or allied health input when required. All hospitals in the region work collaboratively to support the patient care needs.

COVID-19 testinc clinic
The COVID-19 Clinic is located at Booleroo Medical Centre on 5-9 Stephens Street. The service is available from 1.00 to 3.30pm, 7 days a week. An appointment is required. Please call the Health Service on 8667 2211 to make a booking for a test, a GP referral may be required. At time of booking you will be asked to arrive at the Hospital at a designated time. Please remain in your car in the ambulance bay, ring the hospital for further detail and nursing staff will attend.

Accident and emergency services

In a medical emergency phone 000 and await ambulance attendance

When you arrive at the Booleroo Centre District Hospital and Health Services accident and emergency service, you will be seen by a nurse to collect information and assess your illness or injury prior to seeing a doctor.

Mental health emergencies

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency you can present to the accident and emergency service at Booleroo Centre District Hospital and Health Services. 

Alternatively, contact the Rural and Remote Mental Health Service on 13 14 65 for mental health counselling, support and information 24 hours, 7 days.

Visiting hours

Visitors play an important part in any patient’s hospital stay, and visitors are welcome.

Visiting hours for all wards are 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.

Any visitors who are required to be in the hospital building outside these hours will need to register at the admissions desk and receive an identity badge.

Car parking

Parking is available at the front of the hospital on Stephens Street. There is also disabled parking.

Booleroo Centre District Hospital and Health Services has full disability access. If you have special needs and are unsure, please contact reception who will assist you with your specific enquiry.
