Working at Women’s and Children’s Health Network

We have a proud history of serving South Australians.

Starting with the 24-bed Adelaide Children’s Hospital, which opened in 1879, today the Women’s and Children’s Health Network is South Australia’s leading provider of specialty care and health services for women, babies, children, young people and their families.

The Women’s and Children’s Health Network is committed to excellence in health care with the aim of building foundations for a healthy and vibrant South Australia.

We work in partnership with consumers and their families, as well as the community and other service providers to promote, maintain and restore health.

Professor Helen Marshall AM - 2022 SA Australian of the Year Medical Director, Vaccinology and Immunology Research Trials Unit

“I’m proud to be part of an organisation that is such a strong advocate for immunisation. By having an immunisation clinic available on site at the WCH, especially for pregnant women and children with medical conditions, the Women’s and Children’s Health Network is playing an important role in ensuring good access to vaccines for those who will most benefit from being protected from infectious diseases, including newborn babies.”
