Community Rehabilitation Centre services at Noarlunga Hospital
The Trevor Parry Community Rehabilitation Centre offers live-in rehabilitation in Noarlunga. The centre has purpose built accommodation for people who have difficulty living unassisted in the community due to their mental health.
Support includes helping people with their own goals and assisting with the development of skills to improve daily living. Practical support is varied and can include:
- learning how to cook and clean
- planning and living within a budget
- how to use transport
Our teams also help people with:
- taking medication
- recognising all things that contribute to recovery
- improving the capacity to achieve goals and live independently
Community Rehabilitation Centres (CRCs) in Adelaide
A stay at the centre can be up to 6 months. During this time, people are helped to create an individual rehabilitation program with the support of CRC staff. This support continues when people leave.
People can also ask their carers to be involved in delivering care.
Eligibility
People aged 18 to 65 years who are willing to work on strategies to self-manage the impact of illness, with the support of CRC staff, are eligible for this service.
