Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) is the southern area's largest hospital and provides medical services for people living in the southern metropolitan area of Adelaide.
Noarlunga Hospital provides education and training opportunities for existing staff in all disciplines. Regular training opportunities are provided within the hospital.
This regional undergraduate program enables medical students to spend their third year of study within the region, allowing them to understand how the healthcare service works for the southern community. Students can access patients at their primary presentations both in general practice and the Emergency Department.
Noarlunga Hospital is involved in clinical placement for student nurses both on the Enrolled and Registered training programs, from a variety of training organisations.
The hospital has a monthly Professional Development Calendar for staff which includes in services on relevant topics. Online education programs are also available for mandatory competencies.
