Women's and Children's Health Network health services and facilities
The Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) provides services to women, babies, children, young people and their families, across South Australia, far-west New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
We provide holistic care through our 7 State-wide services at more than 150 community sites, as well as the State’s largest maternity and paediatric hospital, The Women’s and Children’s Hospital located at North Adelaide.
Our community sites are located across metropolitan Adelaide, regional and remote South Australia and support the following services.
Our services
Women’s and Children’s Hospital - Our hospital is the leading provider of care for children with acute and chronic conditions in South Australia, and we are the State’s largest maternity and obstetric service. We see more than 230 000 outpatients and 30 000 inpatients annually across the areas of paediatric medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, neonatology, mental health and disability, rehabilitation and allied health.
Aboriginal Health - WCHN is committed to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal women, children and families. We provide our staff with learning and development opportunities in Aboriginal culture, to help build culturally appropriate, relevant and accessible services.
Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service - A free community-based tertiary mental health service providing care to those with severe and/or complex mental health needs.
Child & Family Health Service - A free service supporting the health, wellbeing and development of all South Australian families with children aged 0-5 years.
