Health Services and Facilities at LCLHN
The Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) delivers a comprehensive range of in-hospital, aged care, community, disability, and mental health services to the Limestone Coast community through six public hospitals and other health service sites located across the region, according to population needs, focusing on integrating its service delivery with metropolitan hospitals and other service providers in regional locations.
The LCLHN provides services to over 67,000 people in the Limestone Coast region, covering a geographical catchment area of 21,329 square kilometres, taking in the south-east corner of South Australia. Western Victorian residents also frequently access our services, with this combined catchment area often referred to as the Greater Green Triangle region.
Public hospitals are located at Bordertown, Kingston SE, Millicent, Mount Gambier, Naracoorte and Penola, which collectively provide a range of services including emergency, acute, surgical, maternity and paediatrics, renal dialysis, mental health and chemotherapy.
The LCLHN is working to increase self-sufficiency and bring services as close to home as possible and is committed to undertaking extensive and inclusive service planning activities throughout the region.
Residential aged care facilities are located at Bordertown, Kingston SE, Millicent, Naracoorte and Penola.
A range of community-based services are also delivered through Country Health Connect, including allied health, disability services, nursing and home care support, and palliative care.
Limestone Coast Mental Health and surrounding regional local health networks also provide recovery focused services to people aged 16 and over, in rural and remote areas of South Australia.
