Volunteers at SALHN

VollieCare: Supporting patients, families, and staff across SALHN

VollieCare is proud to support the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) with a dedicated team of volunteers who generously give their time, energy and compassion across Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital and the Repat Health Precinct.

Since 1975, VollieCare has contributed more than $16 million towards patient care, improved facilities, staff education, and vital research—helping to enhance the healthcare experience for our community.

What can volunteering do for you?

Volunteering is a rewarding way to make a positive difference in both your own life and the lives of others.

As a VollieCare volunteer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet new people and build lasting friendships
  • Grow in confidence and develop valuable skills
  • Make a meaningful contribution to your community.

Patient services

At VollieCare, our programs are thoughtfully tailored to meet the needs of each ward.

The strong partnership between staff and volunteers brings warmth to the hospital environment and adds an extra dimension to patient care. Every day, our volunteers make a meaningful difference—whether it’s offering a friendly smile, lending a helping hand, or providing comfort and connection.

Our volunteers support a range of areas, including:

  • Guide Service
  • ICU and Emergency
  • Wellbeing Support
  • Pet Therapy
  • Paediatrics
  • Infusion Suite
  • Collating
  • …and more!
