The Statewide Gambling Therapy Service (SGTS) is a free, effective and confidential service that helps gamblers overcome their addiction and get control of their lives.
Cognitive behavioural therapies are used to help people gradually face situations and feelings that make them want to gamble.
Treatment options available
- Face to face individual therapy at Flinders Medical Centre or Elizabeth GP Plus
- Therapy via videoconference (through Health Direct)
- Therapy via telephone
- Inpatient program at Flinders Medical Centre

Flinders Centre for Gambling Research (FCGR) is a research centre affiliated with Flinders University and Southern Adelaide Local Health Network and integrated with the Statewide Gambling Therapy Service. With over 20 years of experience, the centre specialises in researching gambling disorders and their treatment.
