What if I’m already receiving services through a different program?
You are a SALHN inpatient while you are admitted to Bangka Strait, and you cannot receive other services during this time. We will assist you to re-engage with any of your existing services when you are ready to discharge back to the community.
Who pays for my admission to Bangka Strait?
Bangka Strait is a public hospital ward, part of the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). While you have goals and progress with your therapies, there is no cost. If you decide to move into longer term residential care, and/or no longer have therapy goals to work towards, a fee may be applied.
