The Pregnancy Advisory Service offers early medical abortions (up to 9 weeks) or surgical abortions (up to 15 weeks).
What you need to know about our service:
- A letter from your doctor is not needed.
- Medical abortion up to 9 weeks pregnant and surgical abortion up to 15 weeks pregnant are offered.
- Consults are held on Tuesday mornings.
- Surgery is on Thursday mornings each fortnight.
- A cost will apply for people without Medicare. This must be paid before coming.
- A person over 18 years will need to take you home and stay with you for 24 hours if you have surgery.

The Family Advisory Service offers early medical abortions (up to 9 weeks) or surgical abortions (up to 13 weeks).
What you need to know about our service:
- A letter from your doctor is not needed.
- Medical abortion up to 9 weeks pregnant and surgical abortion up to 13 weeks pregnant are offered.
- Consults are held on Friday mornings.
- Surgery is on Friday afternoons. This may be the same day if there is room on the list.
- A cost will apply for people without Medicare. This must be paid before coming.
- A person over 18 years will need to take you home and stay with you for 24 hours if you have surgery.
- A blood and urine test must be done at a SA Pathology centre before you attend.
