Research Week at SALHN is an exciting week that provides an opportunity to showcase precinct excellence and in innovation and research, celebrate our achievements, and connect with key national and international experts through keynote sessions.

The 2025 Research Week will be held from 15 September to 19 September at Flinders Medical Centre in Southern Adelaide.

Some of the highlights of the 2025 program include:

  • The opening session: “From Strategy to the Real World. Ensuring consumers are at the centre of research”
  • The launch of the SALHN Innovation and Research Strategy 2025-2028
  • A showcase from the exciting work that SALHN’s unsung research superstars ’SALHN’s Hospital Scientists: “Translating science – from lab to ward and back again.”
  • A keynote presentation with leading experts: “Achieving equity – strategies for inclusive care”
  • SALHN celebration day on Friday 19 September with keynote speaker, Professor Ginny Barbour, Editor-in-Chief, Medical Journal of Australia – “The key role of reporting and publication of findings in a learning health system.”
  • Chris Picton MP, Minister for Health and Wellbeing, will present the SALHN Enquiry Grant winners for 2025
  • Presentations from many talented health and medical researchers from across SALHN in the Rapid Fire 5 Minute Presentations.
