The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) has a strong reputation for the quality of its scientific and medical research. For further information, please view our Application Type Decision Aid (PDF 275 KB) for guidance on what type of application should be used.

To enhance our reputation we have now established an environment that promotes collaboration in research and improvement: SALHN Research Hub, a critical mass of research and clinical trial service.

We encourage all researchers to contact the team regarding upcoming Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Governance applications.  We aim to provide an approach that promotes easily accessible advice and produces a culture of collaboration.

To deliver on that objective, we can now offer the following three opportunities for face-to-face/video meetings, by appointment to discuss your research:

  1. Internal: You can arrange a meeting time to visit our hub in the FMC library to discuss your research project
  2. Virtual: We can meet via MS Teams

Location

Gus Fraenkel Medical Library
Level 5, 5E240, Flinders Medical Centre, Flinders Drive, Bedford Park SA 5042
Southern Adelaide Local Health Network

Meeting/Drop in session

Drop-in sessions are held in the Gus Fraenkel Library on Level 5 at FMC between 10.00am and 12 noon.

If you are unable to attend this session, please email the SALHN Research Hub to schedule a Teams or in person meeting, providing an overview of why the meeting is required, and whether it is ethics, governance or both.

SALHN Research hub is responsible for the governance of research activities carried out across SALHN, promoting high quality, accountable and responsible research, compliant with national ethical and governance standards and guidelines.
