Your right to information, to decide about your care, to consent to treatment, to receive appropriate care and for confidentiality
The following services are available:
These services are provided by our Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) who can provide care to you at our clinics, or in your home.
Please note that ear syringing, ECG (electrocardiogram), and therapeutic ultrasound services are no longer available at the Coonalpyn and Tintinara clinics. These services are still available from other local health providers, and transport assistance may be available to some consumers.
Phlebotomy (blood taking) services continue to be available for consumers who are unable to access a pathology collection centre.
If you need help locating a service provider, please contact our friendly team for information.
Community members also have access to a range of specialist services available from visiting nurses.
Non-Aboriginal consumers over the age of 65, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers over the age of 50, also have access to a range of healthy aging services.
From Monday 22 January 2024, the Coonalpyn and Tintinara clinics will transition from a drop-in service to an appointment-only service.
This will ensure community members can access care when and when they need it, as our nurses are often travelling within the community providing care.
The clinic will be open in accordance with community needs, for example, if there is a clinical need for you to receive injectable medications on a Saturday. Home based services will continue to be provided by appointment. You can nominate to access care in-clinic or at your home.
To book an appointment, please contact our Country Health Connect office on (08) 8535 6800 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm).
The Tintinara and Coonalpyn Country Health Connect clinics do not provide emergency services.
Your nearest Emergency Department (ED) is located at Meningie and Districts Hospital.
Alternatively, you can access the Urgent Care Centre at Keith and District Healthcare between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. No appointment necessary. Please call (08) 8755 1555 to speak with the Nurse Practitioner or Nurse in charge (after hours).
