Renmark
All aged care and hospital services at Renmark Paringa District Hospital returned to business as usual from Wednesday 25 January 2023.
Acute inpatient admissions at the Hospital recommenced on Wednesday 25 January 2023 and we anticipate all aged care residents relocated to other Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network aged care sites as part of stage one relocations have returned to their usual rooms.
Loxton and Berri
Services at Loxton Hospital Complex will not be impacted in the event of flooding due to its elevated position. The Complex includes an Emergency Department and other services that will continue to operate as normal. People in Loxton should dial Triple Zero (000) in an emergency or alternatively present to the Loxton Hospital Complex Emergency Department which is open 24/7.
There are some regional services at Riverland General Hospital that people from Loxton may need to access, such as renal dialysis or chemotherapy. Anyone in the Loxton community accessing these services is advised to keep informed, and factor in additional travel time to their journey if required due to road closures.
Mannum
The Mannum District Hospital is located on high ground and will remain open throughout the Murray River flood event. The Hospital includes an Emergency Department, that is open 24/7, and other services that will continue to operate as normal.
You may need to take an alternative route to access the hospital if you are impacted by road and/or ferry closures. Information about these closures is available online at www.sa.gov.au/floods. Please factor in additional travel time to your journey if required to access hospital services. Always dial Triple Zero (000) in an emergency.
All other RMCLHN sites
All other RMCLHN health sites are situated on high ground where there is no risk of flooding from the Murray River.
Community Health Services
Country Health Connect and Community Health Services will continue uninterrupted throughout the Murray River flood event. In some circumstances, services will be provided in different locations or at a different frequency. Any changes will be communication directly to Community Health clients.
Riverland Mallee Coorong Hospitals and Health Services
Residents in the Riverland Murray Mallee area have access to a wide range of health care services in a number of locations throughout the region.
These services include accident and emergency, day and inpatient surgery, Aboriginal Health, obstetric services, community health and aged care services.
The main health hubs for the area are located in Berri and Murray Bridge with other facilities located nearby.
