Cummins and District Memorial Hospital is run by the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network. The hospital has 11 inpatient beds as well as aged care beds, and provides a range of services including emergency, general medicine, surgical care, day surgery, palliative care and outpatients.
Community Health and Allied Health services are also based on the hospital site and provide services to the community.
The Miroma Place Hostel is separate to the hospital and provides a homelike setting for people with low levels of care needs.
Accident and emergency
This is a 24-hour service. When you arrive at accident and emergency, you will be seen by the duty nurse to collect information and assess your illness or injury.
In a medical emergency, it is important that you do not ‘self present’ to hospital. SA Ambulance Service emergency medical dispatch support officers can provide advanced first-aid advice over the phone while an ambulance is on its way to you.

There is disabled parking onsite.
Disabled access
The building is wheelchair accessible and there are toilets for people with disability. Please ask at Reception.
Visiting hours
General wards: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
