Services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
General medical and surgical care includes:
Kangaroo Island Health Service has birthing facilities are available. A shared care arrangement between general practitioner and community midwives assist women with care and treatment before, during and after childbirth. You can consult a visiting gynaecologist by arrangement.
The Kangaroo Island Health Service provides low-risk chemotherapy treatment in Kingscote under the care of your oncologist based at the Flinders Medical Centre.

Kangaroo Island Health Service offers residential aged care facilities at two locations, both of which provide a variety of services. The nursing home attached to the hospital provides residential accommodation for older people in need of high-level care. It includes secure premises for people with dementia.
The co-located hostel facility, Carnarvon is located to the rear of the facility and provides low level residential aged care services.
