The General and Gastrointestinal Surgery Unit (GGIS) cover a wide range of general surgery conditions including:

  • Hernias (abdominal wall and groin)
  • Gallbladder pathology
  • Lymph node and muscle biopsies

The Unit has a special interest and expertise in:

  • Complex abdominal wall hernias and reconstruction
  • Colon and rectal conditions — benign and cancerous
