Dental Clinic at Flinders Medical Centre

Function: A general dental service is provided for medically compromised and other referred patients. Outpatients eligible for dental treatment are restricted to specific areas. A service is also provided for inpatients requiring dental treatment.

Information for GPs

FMC Dental Clinic accepts referrals of patients with special needs including those with complex medical histories, mental health problems and learning disabilities.

All bookings both for elective and urgent problems are made by phoning the Dental Clinic on (08) 8204 4188 or by fax to (08) 8204 5652. FMC patients may be referred by medical staff within FMC, where the dental situation can affect or be affected by the patient's medical condition.

Information for FMC referrals

Please ensure referrals are legible and contain name and contact details of referring doctor plus relevant medical information such as: coagulation issues, need for antibiotic prophylaxis for invasive procedures; and list of medications.
