Vaccine ordering and storage

Vaccine ordering

Access to National and State funded vaccines requires approval from SA Health. To be approved to receive vaccines for these programs, health professionals must complete the registration process.

To provide yellow fever vaccine in South Australia, medical centres must complete the application for approval by SA Health.

For further information, see the Vaccine ordering page.

Vaccine storage

Vaccines are fragile, biological substances that can become less effective or destroyed if exposed to temperatures outside the recommended storage range of between +2°C and +8°C. Health professionals responsible for the administration of vaccines must follow appropriate procedures and processes to ensure nationally recommended guidelines for vaccine storage are maintained. For more information see the  Vaccine storage page.
