Dr Jeremy Goldring
Team Manager / Advanced Clinician (Clinical Psychologist)
Dr Jeremy Goldring is the Team Manager of CTAD which allows him to combine four of his key areas of interest: psychology, leadership, training, and research.
He joined the CTAD team in 2022 following several years working in a diverse range of senior clinical, leadership and management positions across CALHN’s Mental Health Clinical Program. Jeremy holds an endorsed area of practice in Clinical Psychology, a Master of Psychology (Clinical) and was a past winner of the APS prize.
In his clinical work he values story and humanness and draws from his training in a range of therapy approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Eye-Movement and Desensitisation Reprogramming (EMDR). As a researcher Jeremy received a university commendation for his Ph.D dissertation which explored people’s implicit and explicit responses to interpersonal conflict. He has published peer-reviewed journal papers, presented at national and international conferences, and supervised research students at honours, masters and Ph.D level.
Jeremy also holds a keen interest in and commitment to teaching and training. He holds post-graduate qualifications in the theory and practice of education and has been a university lecturer in psychology courses including personality and individual differences, social psychology, and advanced research methods.
Jeremy is a psychology board-approved supervisor and enjoys providing clinical supervision to provisional and early-career psychologists.
Kate Mathew
Senior Clinical Psychologist
Kate Mathew conferred her Masters’ Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2008 at the University of Adelaide. She was awarded the Anna Florence Booth prize for her thesis titled “'The Long-Term Effects of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy as a Relapse Prevention Treatment for Major Depressive Disorder”.
Kate is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Clinical College. Psychology Board of Australia/AHPRA Registered Psychologist with Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology (PSY00001312229). She is a PBA Board Approved Clinical Psychology Supervisor. Kate has specialised and trained in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Kate has worked at CTAD since 2013 in a Senior Clinical Psychologist role (AHP3) co-facilitating the MBCT program. Kate also works in private practice in the area of adult mood and anxiety disorders.
Dr Hannah Myles
Consultant Psychiatrist
Doctor Hannah Myles is a consultant psychiatrist who has been a fellow of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrist since 2018.
Hannah is a keen researcher with an interest in physical health comorbidities in people with severe mental illness. She completed her PhD at The University of Adelaide in 2020, focusing on obstructive sleep apnoea in people with schizophrenia.
She has also conducted systematic reviews and meta-analyses examining the utility of suicide risk assessments, and further meta-analyses examining the epidemiology of tobacco and cannabis use in people with psychotic illness.
She provides individual therapy to patients at CTAD, helping people with anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, and major depression.
Dr Jodie Harris
Senior Clinical Psychologist
Dr Jodie Harris is a senior practitioner at the Centre for Treatment of Anxiety and Depression. She specialises in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression, as well as integrating other evidence-based treatment methods.
She is both an individual therapist and a primary supervisor for Provisional Psychologists at CTAD. Having completed her Ph.D. in 2008 on the treatment of insomnia, she has expertise in the treatment of sleep disorders co-occurring with anxiety and mood disorders.
She has particular research interest in the role of insomnia as a precipitating and maintaining factor in depression, as well as the overlap between PTSD and sleep disorder, and circadian rhythms in Bipolar Disorder. She has registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, with Clinical Psychology endorsement, and is also a member of the Australian Psychology Society, with Clinical College membership. She is also a member of the Australasian Sleep Association.
She is the coordinator of the Psychology and Health Forum, a professional networking and development group in South Australia.
Dr Maura Kenny
Senior Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Maura Kenny has been the Coordinator of the Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Programs at the Centre for the Treatment of Anxiety & Depression, South Australia Health since 2005.
She specialises in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy in the areas of Stress, Mood and Anxiety disorders, conducts and supervises some research in these areas, and has used these approaches in clinical, organisational and workplace settings. She has developed a 6 week mindfulness course for health professionals and is interested in the wellbeing and resilience of junior doctors.
Maura is also the convenor of the Mindfulness Research Group at the University of Adelaide, and Co-Director of the Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia which offers a training and supervision pathway in mindfulness-based interventions.
She has recently been made an Associate Teacher/Trainer of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, University of Oxford, UK.
Dr Sophie Schumacher
Senior Clinical Psychologist
Dr Sophie Schumacher is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at the Centre for Treatment of Anxiety and Depression. She has experience working across a range of mental health settings and presenting conditions. Sophie’s approach in therapy involves spending time getting to know a person’s story.
Sophie aims to develop a safe and supportive relationship in which to understand a person and explore areas in which they can make changes in order to bring them closer to living the life they want. Sophie uses cognitive behaviour therapy techniques, and is also informed by techniques from dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and schema therapy.
She completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and PhD in Clinical Psychology at Flinders University. Sophie has experience in research, having presented her work at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
She is passionate about education and mentoring, having taught psychology courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and clinically supervised students, psychologists and clinical psychologists as a board-approved supervisor.
Dr Sue Waite
Senior Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Sue Waite has worked in a variety of settings for the Central Adelaide Local Health Network Service (CALHN).
She has a special interest in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Anxiety Disorders and Obsessive-compulsive and Related Disorders. She trains therapists in CBT utilising the Self-Practice/Self-Reflection model, and incorporates Mindful Self-Compassion practices for therapist self-care. Dr Waite is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide, Department of Psychiatry and is involved in teaching of medical students, psychiatry registrars and psychology interns.

Lauren Weber
Clinical Psychologist
Lauren Weber is a Clinical Psychologist. She completed her Masters’ degree in clinical psychology in 2016 at Flinders University. Lauren currently works part time at CTAD and also works in the Community Mental Health Team. Lauren has worked with adult clients in both public and private settings.
Lauren predominantly uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is also trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. Lauren enjoys working with clients to assist them to learn skills to become more mindful and compassionate towards themselves in the face of their stressors.
Dr Kathy Fogarty
Senior Clinical Psychologist
Kathy completed a combined PhD/Masters in Clinical Psychology degree at the University of Adelaide in 2010. She works part time in private practice and part time at CTAD.
She works with adults, teenagers and children experiencing a wide range of mental health problems, such as anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, sleep problems, grief and trauma, and problem behaviours that cause distress to the person.
She uses a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Mentalization-based therapy and Eye-movement De- sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an approach developed specifically for the treatment of trauma.
She has a special interest in helping people who have struggled over a life-time with emotional and behavioural problems that interfere with their quality of life, and enjoys helping them change long-term patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. She has undertaken advanced level training in therapies developed specifically to help these people, including Schema Therapy, Mentalization-based therapy.
