Communities along the River Murray that have been impacted by the 2022-23 flooding are continuing to be supported in their ongoing recovery from one of the state’s most significant events. The mental health needs of people and communities will be boosted by a Flood Recovery Mental Health Support Program that has been jointly funded by the Australian and SA Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements to engage specific service providers to deliver specialist mental health support.

This Flood Recovery Mental Health Support Program focuses on supporting individuals and strengthening families and communities, providing a flexible, proactive and coordinated response that reinforces the community connections that are vital to recovery, adaptation and future resilience.

Information about the program will be updated when available.

If you or someone you know is feeling overwhelmed and struggling to cope, reach out to local services that can provide mental health and wellbeing support.
