Services at Streaky Bay Hospital and Health Services

Due to COVID-19, changes to services, visiting hours and visitor access now apply.

The following services are available:

Accident and emergency

There is a 24-hour accident and emergency service with a local doctor on call.

Allied health practitioners provide services including:

  • dietetics
  • occupational therapy
  • physiotherapy
  • podiatry
  • speech therapy.

Early childhood health and youth development and health services are provided.

Maternity and obstetrics 

A shared care arrangement with GPs and community midwives assists women with care and treatment before, during and after childbirth. Birthing facilities are currently suspended at Streaky Bay, but services are available either at Ceduna or Port Lincoln.

Medical and surgical hospital services

We provide general medical and surgical care, including minor day-surgery. We have an outpatient department and x-ray facilities and can cater for acute admissions, respite and palliative care. We can also provide limited obstetric services.
