SA Health provides a diverse range of youth services and programs appropriate for girls of primary school age and teenage girls.
Youth Health Service
Metropolitan Youth Health within the Women’s and Children’s Health Network offers a free, confidential health service for young people aged 12 to 25 years.
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) provides a range of programs for infants, children and young people and for women in the period immediately before and after birth.
Adelaide Sexual Health Centre
Adelaide Sexual Health Centre provides free confidential testing, diagnosis and treatment of all sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS. A Medicare card is not required to access any of our services.
What we offer:
- no parental permission is needed to come and see us
- clinics located in Adelaide, Elizabeth and Noarlunga
- no appointment necessary
- STI testing is free
- onsite laboratory service can provisionally diagnose some STI’s on the spot
- free emergency contraception

SHine SA
SHine SA provides confidential information on sexual and reproductive health issues. Questions can be answered by an experienced sexual health nurse who can also refer individuals to other health services if ongoing support is needed.
Call the Sexual Healthline at 1 300 883 793 or toll free 1800 188 171 (country callers only) An interpreter can be arranged free of charge if required. Open from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
