Aged Care Strategy Unit

Office for Ageing Well provides strategic advice to both state and Commonwealth government around matters relating to Commonwealth subsidised aged care, including the interface with the health sector. This includes responsibility for administering the Aged Care Assessment Program to ensure its objectives are met throughout the State.

Key projects of the Aged Care Strategy Unit

  • Implementation of national reform initiatives as part of the Commonwealth aged care reforms.
  • Implementation of State priorities to create an efficient and integrated model of care in South Australia across the health/aged care sectors.

Commonwealth government responsibilities
