Version 1.0 approved 06 November 2024

The Access to Government Employee Housing Policy (PDF 261KB) provides the mandatory requirements about SA Health employee eligibility and approval for the provision of the SA Government Employee Housing (GEH) program.
Through centralised administration, eligible SA Health staff may apply to access the GEH program for housing located 100km outside of the Adelaide central business district (CBD) where the:

  • Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW), Local Health Networks (LHNs) including state-wide services aligned with those Networks and SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) does not have available housing stock (either directly owned or leased housing, or other accommodation arrangements), and
  • GEH portfolio has vacant properties that SA Health can utilise.

Applicability

This policy applies to all employees of SA Health (within eligibility parameters); that is all employees of the DHW, LHNs including state-wide services aligned with those Networks and SAAS.
