Recycled water
Recycled water (also called reclaimed water) refers to human wastewater or sewage that has been sufficiently treated at a wastewater treatment plant, before being reused.
Australian Guidelines for Water Recycling provides a framework for managing health and environmental risks associated with the supply and use of recycled water. The Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) regulates in line with the AGWR framework under the SA Public Health Act.
