Medical Officer Professional Development Reimbursement System (MOPDRS)

History

The need for a centralised and secure online professional development reimbursement (PDR) claims solution for SA Health clinicians was identified following extensive market research and stakeholder consultation which included targeted focus groups for relevant professions and PD officers.

A customised MOPDRS was developed and implemented across SA Health from September 2020.

The MOPDRS does not alter clinician entitlements for PD, and its benefits include:

  • A single point of storage for increased user transparency via real-time reports, accurate and timely reimbursement of claims,
  • Tools such as a mobile phone app which allows the secure upload of receipts and / or finalisation of claims by clinicians at any time and in any location, with automatic routing of reports for efficient approvals.

This system enables medical officers to:

  • Check opening balances for professional development (PD) leave and entitlements,
  • Review and update bank account details and
  • Complete and submit claims online, and in any location.

The links below will provide instructions on how you can do this.
