Vaccinations

From 7 October 2021, the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 issued under the Emergency Management Act 2004, came into effect. 

This Direction places COVID-19 vaccination requirements on all persons working in a public hospital, private hospital or ambulance service, including patient transport service in South Australia. A public hospital includes all services provided by a Local Health Network, not just those physically located in a hospital.

This applies to all suppliers, including sub-contractors. For more information, the Direction FAQ's are available at covid-19@sa.gov.au.

Panels

Panels are comprised of one or more suppliers who have been selected following a tender process. SA Health draws on suppliers in panels as they are already pre-approved, and this can fast-track the procurement process. Panels are a great way for suppliers to deal directly with all SA Health divisions.

Healthy Ideas portal

The Healthy Ideas Portal is designed to provide a platform for SA Health to run campaigns and challenges, seeking ideas from the broader health sector and industry, in a simple and easy to use format. 

The first three campaign challenges issued are:

  • SA Health Apps Platform
  • Efficiency Improvement Ideas for our Supply Chain
