Clinical Academics Enterprise Agreement
On 15 March 2024, the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) approved the SA Health Clinical Academics Enterprise Agreement 2024 (CAEA 2024) following a successful ballot.
The CAEA 2024 came into effect on 15 March 2024 and will nominally expire on 2 February 2025.
A Clinical Academic is a specialist registered by the Medical Board of Australia, who is employed by a University as a Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in the faculty of Health Sciences and also employed by the employing authority as a Clinical Academic.
Process for negotiations
On 17 September 2024, formal negotiations will commence for a new enterprise agreement to replace the SA Health Clinical Academics Enterprise Agreement 2024.
As required as part of the Fair Work Act 1994 (SA), a Notice of Intention to Bargain (the Notice) was issued on 3 September 2024. The Notice identified the employees who are proposed to be covered by the new enterprise agreement and their right to representation. Employees can be represented by an employee association under the Fair Work Act 1994 (SA) or an agent of their choice.
Further progress updates on bargaining will be published on this webpage.
