Clinical Academics Enterprise Agreement
The Agreement came into effect from 15 March 2024 and will nominally expire on 2 February 2025.
Who the award covers
A Clinical Academic is a specialist registered by the Medical Board of Australia, who is employed by a University as a Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in the faculty of Health Sciences and also employed by the employing authority as a Clinical Academic.
Process for negotiations
All SA Health employees covered by the Clinical Academics Enterprise Agreement 2018 were given the opportunity to vote in regard to the proposed 2024 Agreement from Wednesday 21 February to Wednesday 28 February 2024.
A majority of employees voted in favour of the proposed Agreement.
The results of the ballot were:
- Total number of eligible voters: 58
- Total number of votes received: 43
- ‘YES’ votes received: 43 (100%)
- ‘NO’ votes received: 0 (0%)
South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) approval
An application was made to the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) for the Agreement to be approved. The SAET then gave notice for any party to set out in writing any objection or any other consideration and return to the SAET by 14 March 2024. No objections or any other considerations were provided to the SAET.
