Allied Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement
Currently, all Allied Health Professionals are covered by the South Australian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2021 (PDF 10MB). Bargaining for a replacement agreement commenced on 9 September 2024. As part of the bargaining process, the declared employer has notified SA Health that bargaining will commence for a separate enterprise agreement that is proposed to cover the following classifications:
- Allied Health Professionals (AHP)
- Allied Health Assistants (AHA)
The ballot for the proposed new Allied Health Professionals, Assistants and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement 2025 closed on 6 July 2025. The independent voting service provider that conducted the ballot, has advised that a majority of employees who voted in the ballot, voted in favour of the proposed Agreement.
The proposed Agreement will not commence to operate until approved by the SAET. The terms of the current Agreement will apply until that time.
Process for negotiations
On Friday, 14 March 2025 formal negotiations for a new Allied Health Professionals enterprise agreement will commence.
As required as part of the Fair Work Act 1994 (SA) (the Act), a Notice of Intention to Bargain was issued with 14 days’ notice before the commencement of bargaining. The Notice of Intention to Bargain identifies the employees who are proposed to be covered by the new enterprise agreement and their rights to representation. Employees can be represented by an employee association under the Act (e.g., a Trade Union) or an agent of their choice.
Further progress updates on bargaining will be published on this webpage.
