Public involvement in research
Research often involves members of the public who have interest or experience with health and medical systems, or a desire to bring about change.
Involvement may include:
- contributing to the identification of research priorities
- community partners in research topics of relevance to communities
- community membership on human research ethics committees.
Members of the public are also recruited to actively participate in new research which is taking place throughout the state.
Clinical trials involvement
For information on clinical trials, which involve the development and testing of new drugs and therapeutic devices, see information for participants on the clinical trials portal. To get involved, find a clinical trials service provider.
For information about participating in other research, particular in your area, visit the research hubs of the different local health networks which can be found on the Research in South Australia page.
