Referrals and admissions at the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre
People are referred to Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre when rehabilitation treatment is likely to enhance their recovery and they are physically capable of participating in the programs. This is decided by consultation between their own doctors and their therapists, and those at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre.
Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre is part of the public health system. Public patients with a Medicare Card are treated at no cost. Private or compensable patients are billed but they are covered under the terms of their relevant insurance. Fees may apply to some longer stay or respite care beds.
