COVID-19 client information, SA Dental Service

SA Dental Service is committed to supporting the South Australian community through the COVID-19 pandemic.

SA Dental Service is providing emergency dental services and limited general dental care for adults and children across SA, in line with the State's response to the COVID-19 situation.

SA Dental Service will be contacting clients to re-schedule appointments for general dental care

Clients are encouraged to contact their SA Dental Service clinic if they are experiencing a dental problem.

Please phone to discuss your problem first rather than attending a clinic

Clients will continue to be screened for COVID-19 risk and triaged according to their dental needs

Appointments will be scheduled to ensure physical distancing measures are in place.

We ask for your continued patience while we resume our general dental services

Please see list of  clinics that are open.

Please see list of  clinics that have temporarily closed, including information on the nearest alternative clinic for emergency dental services.

If you are being treated, tested or are self-isolating for COVID-19, and you have a dental emergency, please phone your local clinic for advice.

The following measures have been implemented across our dental clinics to ensure the safety of our clients and our staff:

  • staff continue to practice strict infection control and hand hygiene procedures

  • the number of appointments are being reduced and/or staggered to minimise congestion in the waiting room.

  • frequently accessed areas and surfaces are being regularly cleaned.
