Special Needs Unit
The Special Needs Unit provides dental and oral health services for people with medical, physical and intellectual disabilities.
Most people with a disability or with complex medical conditions can be treated in the Community Dental Service clinics. However, clients with more complex special needs may require specialist care, and may be referred to the Special Needs Unit at the Adelaide Dental Hospital. Specialist services can only be accessed following referral from a Community Dental Service clinic or directly from some medical providers.
Do you have an appointment with the Special Needs Unit but aren't sure where we are located?
We have developed two videos to assist you with your visit.
Wayfinding — this video explains where we are located and how best to access the clinic.
