BreastScreen SA has temporarily suspended screening services

Due to the recent outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), BreastScreen SA has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend breast cancer screening services.
This is to protect the immediate health and wellbeing of our clients, staff and the wider South Australian community.
- Postponing appointments: if you have a current booking, we will be in touch with you to postpone it. We will then contact you when services resume to offer you a priority appointment.
- Results: if you have had a breast screen recently, you will receive your results within the next two weeks.
- If further tests are needed: any client needing additional testing will be offered a suitable appointment at our dedicated Assessment Clinic.
- Clients who are due for their screening mammogram during the suspension period: anyone who is due for their screening mammogram will be offered a priority appointment when services resume.
All women need to be breast aware, taking note of any changes (such as a new or changing breast lump, or nipple discharge). If you notice anything that is not normal for you, please make an appointment to see your GP to have it investigated.
