Communicable Disease Control Branch (CDCB) new fax number

The South Australian Communicable Disease Control Branch (CDCB) has changed its fax number to (08) 7425 6696 from (08) 8226 7187.

Please use the new fax number when contacting the CDCB by fax, including when faxing medical and laboratory notifications. Please change the CDCB fax number in all your references, contacts and databases.

Please note that CDCB is in the process of updating the fax numbers that are listed on the notification forms and on the SA Health webpage.

Doctors are asked to

  • Use the new fax number when contacting the CDCB by fax, including when faxing medical notifications.
  • Change the CDCB fax number in all your references, contacts and databases.
  • Notify urgent telephone notifiable conditions by telephone to 1300 232 272 (24 hours / 7 days).
  • Please note that many other notifiable conditions can be reported quickly and easily online instead of faxing - see www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/notifiablediseasereporting.
