Hepatology and Transplantation Medicine Services at Flinders Medical Centre

The Hepatology Unit at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) provides inpatient and outpatient care for patients with all acute and chronic liver related problems

The following coordinated care programs exist for patients between FMC and the community:

  • viral hepatitis program
  • hepatitis outreach program (indigenous and regional)
  • chronic liver failure program
  • liver transplantation program
  • hepatocellular carcinoma program

The service is directly linked to the Flinders Medical Centre based South Australian Liver Transplant Unit.
