The Ceduna District Health Services are part of the Eyre Flinders and Far North – West region, and includes the Ceduna Hospital and the GP Plus Health Care Centre Ceduna. Combining acute hospital and primary health care services in the one facility means the community can receive the most appropriate method of care, quickly and easily.
The Ceduna Hospital has 15 acute overnight beds, four day only beds, two dialysis chairs and 38 beds for people requiring high and low level aged care. The GP Plus Health Care Centre Ceduna offers a broad range of health care services including local General Practitioners and visiting medical specialists, Child, Adolescent and Adult Mental Health, Community Health, Dental Health, Home and Community Care, and Allied Health Services.
To visit the Ceduna District Health Services, use the one main reception point entrance, located at 3 Eyre Highway, Ceduna. After hours health care services are accessible via the Casualty Emergency entrance.
Accident and emergency services
In a medical emergency phone 000 and await ambulance attendance
When you arrive at the Ceduna District Health Service accident and emergency service, you will be seen by a nurse to collect information and assess your illness or injury prior to seeing a doctor.
Mental health emergencies
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency you can present to the accident and emergency service at Ceduna District Health Service.
Alternatively, contact the Rural and Remote Mental Health Service on 13 14 65 for mental health counselling, support and information 24 hours, 7 days.
Visitors play an important part in any patient’s hospital stay, and visitors are welcome.
Visiting hours for all wards are 11am to 8pm.
Any visitors who are required to be in the hospital building outside these hours will need to register at the admissions desk and receive an identity badge.
After hours health care services are accessible via the Casualty Emergency entrance.
There is parking onsite, including disabled parking.
The building is wheelchair accessible and there are toilets for people with disability. Please ask at Reception.
