Mental health and mental illness
Mental health is an important part of wellbeing and is about balance in our thoughts, feelings, behaviour and relationships with others.
A mental illness is a severe or prolonged disruption in these, which has a negative impact on our every day lifestyle.
Being unwell does not necessarily mean that you have a mental illness.
Where to get help
If you experience mental illness, it's important to have support to help you deal with your experience.
