Close contacts
What to do if you are a close contact. A close contact is when you have face-to-face contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive and there's a risk of transmission.
If you test positive to COVID-19, it is normal to feel worried or scared. It is likely your symptoms will be mild and you can recover safely at home.
If you need health support you can get COVID-19 information or advice by calling the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080 — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You should only call Triple Zero (000) or attend an emergency department if your symptoms are severe.
