COVID-19 restriction update
From midnight tonight, standing consumption of food and drink can resume outdoors at licensed venues.
Private functions at licensed venues, including weddings, with a maximum of 150 guests may have indoor and outdoor standing consumption of food and drink, as well as dancing. This is provided contract tracing records are kept and other specific requirements are met.

Two new COVID-19 cases
There have been two new cases of COVID-19 today. Both cases, a man and woman in their 20s, recently returned from overseas and tested positive while in quarantine. The results of further testing will confirm whether these represent active cases, however, there is no public health risk.
The man tested positive on his day one test and the woman tested positive on day nine after showing symptoms of COVID-19. The cases are not travelling together and will both remain in isolation in a medi-hotel.

Some Regional COVID-19 Clinics will be closed on Monday 5 October for the public holiday.
