Cognitive Behaviour Therapy - Introduction

This workshop is aimed at clinicians with little or no previous knowledge of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (CBT) who wish to refresh their knowledge & skills. This workshop aims to provide participants with a working overview of the key features and themes of CBT as well as its practical applications to our clinical work. CBT comprises a range of cognitive and/or behavioural interventions for mental illness. CBT is especially effective for mild to moderate mood disorders (eg: Depression & Anxiety).
At the end of the workshop participants will have an increased understanding of the:
- Origins of CBT
- An understanding of the principles of CBT
- Key themes of CBT
