Suitable for all mental health clinicians and health practitioners who have completed the Stage 1 (Foundation Knowledge) MHPOD Module: Trauma and Mental Health available at the MHPOD website.
It will be assumed that participants have completed Stage 1 online training before enrolling for this Stage 2 training.
This course is a 3 to 3.5 hour zoom or face to face course.

Workshop aim
The workshop has been developed to provide participants with practical skills application(s) focussing on organisational aspects for trauma informed care practice.
The workshop aims to describe and consider what trauma informed care practice looks and feels like at an organisational level. The workshop discusses:
- What do trauma informed organisations look like
- How organisations can become trauma informed and aware
- A focus on important organisational domains that require consideration.
Workshop outcomes
- An understanding of how trauma can impact on organisations
- How organisations can struggle if ‘stressed’ and the subsequent result on how the service reacts in terms of delivery and overall coping
- Exploring how trauma informed care practice within and across organisations can benefit the organisation
- Recognition of available influential domains that can be implemented in and across organisations.
