The National mental health Outcomes and Casemix Collection (NOCC) is a part of routine clinical practice across Australian Mental Health Services.
Training includes one of the 3 versions of the Health of the Nation Outcomes Scales (HoNOS - Adult, HoNOS 65+ - Older Persons, HoNOSCA - Child & Adolescents, along with tools including the LSP-16, K10, FIHS, CGAS, SDQ, RUG-ADL and Phase of Care and their application to clinical mental health practice.
Suitable: all Mental Health clinicians
Duration: 3½ hrs - via zoom or face to face
Initial or New Staff Adult/Older persons NOCC
This program will provide an understanding of:
Utilization of the Health of the Nation Outcomes Scales, HoNOS vignette and inter-rater reliability.
A review of other National Outcomes Casemix measures and relevant tools including the LSP-16, K10, RUG-ADL and brief overview of the Phase of Care
Routine outcome measures and their use in care planning and review
Adult/Older persons NOCC refresher
The refresher training program assumes prior training and will cover:
A Refresher of the HoNOS and relevant tools, LSP-16, K10 and an overview of the Phase of Care
Routine outcome measures and their use in care planning and review
Initial or New Staff CAMHS/Youth NOCC
This program will provide an understanding of:
Utilization of the Child & Adolescent Health of the Nation Outcomes Scales (HoNOSCA)
A review of other National Outcomes Casemix measures and relevant tools including the FIHS, CGAS, SDQ and brief overview of the Phase of Care
CAMHS/Youth training NOCC refresher
The refresher training program assumes prior training and will cover:
A Refresher of the Child & Adolescent Health of the Nation Outcomes Scales (HoNOSCA)
A review of other National Outcomes Casemix measures and relevant tools including the FIHS, CGAS, SDQ and brief overview of the Phase of Care
Overall learning outcomes
Overall learning outcomes of NOCC training:

development of skills in the completion of the standard measures
application of these measures to clinical practice and casemix.
