SA Health study assistance program for nurses and midwives

SA Health is committed to building a valued, capable and sustainable nursing and midwifery workforce. Study assistance is awarded to Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM) and Enrolled Nurses (EN) who demonstrate a commitment to professional practice that is aligned to local health care priorities.

Study undertaken must lead to one of the following qualifications:

  • EN – Advanced Diploma or a Post Enrolment Certificate
  • RN/RM – Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Master’s Degree

Priority areas for consideration

Priority areas for consideration will be:

  • critical care
  • emergency care
  • mental health
  • perinatal mental health
  • perioperative care.

All applications are to be submitted using the Nursing and Midwifery portal. Please note, you will be required to use your SA Health login, on a workplace computer to begin and complete the application process.

The 2021 SA Health Study Assistance Program is available to Public Sector nurses and midwives only.
