Allied Health Research Forum
This forum is an opportunity for allied health clinicians with an interest in research and quality improvement activities to learn about the breadth of research projects being undertaken across allied health in South Australia and for clinical researchers to showcase their work.
SA Health Allied Health registration
There is no cost for SA Health allied health staff to attend, thanks to the support of the Allied & Scientific Health Office.
Attendees from outside of SA Health or non-allied health roles are very welcome to attend. Details on the dates and registration process will be forthcoming.
Invitations to the event will also be emailed to SA Health staff.

2021 Allied Health Research Forum
The second South Australian Research Forum was held online on the 14th and 15th of October 2021 with over 300 registrants, in collaboration with the University of South Australia. The forum saw clinical researchers from across SA Health Allied Health come together with leaders in Allied Health Research and key industry partners.
The forum theme “Communicating value, creating impact” highlighted the importance of communication and collaboration throughout the research continuum as well as bringing focus to how we create, measure and message the value of allied health research.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the AHRF was held online via Conference Designs.
Access to recordings from the Research Forum are available until 31 January 2022.

2019 Allied Health Research Forum
The inaugural South Australian Allied Health Research Forum was held on 23 May 2019 exploring the theme “Beyond the brilliant idea; planning, doing and applying research in clinical practice”. The forum saw nearly 200 clinicians and clinical researchers from across SA Health Allied Health came together with leaders in Allied Health research and key industry partners.
Topics addressed on the day included highlighting the need for research to have an impact focus, the importance of collaboration with consumers, clinicians and policy makers throughout the research journey and further developing the research culture within allied health. Attendees were left with a broader appreciation of the concept of translational research and came away inspired and motivated to implement learnings back in their work place.
